Adventures Far Off the Beaten Path

Wildscapes is a photographic exploration of the raw, untouched corners of the natural world, places far removed from roads, crowds, and in many cases even cell signal. Each image in this series is a result of a journey that demanded more than just technical skill with a camera. Reaching these locations often required multi-day backpacking treks through rugged backcountry, float plane landings on remote lakes, hours of paddling, or long hikes deep into wilderness where few venture. The remoteness of these landscapes isn’t just a backdrop; it’s an essential part of the story.

This project is about more than just visual beauty, it's about the experience of presence and solitude in wild environments. It's about the physical effort it takes to stand in a place that few others ever will, and the quiet moments of awe that make every step worthwhile. The photographs aim to capture not only the grandeur of the scenery, but also the feeling of discovery, vulnerability, and connection that these journeys create.

With Wildscapes, I want to offer a window into the landscapes that remain largely unseen, not because they lack beauty, but because reaching them demands time, sweat, and a willingness to step off the map.
